Pumpkin Cider Martini

Recipes / October 31, 2012

Boo! Happy Halloween! We’ll be drinking this tasty bad boy later. Remember, it’s not cheating if it’s a holiday. Right?

I used to be “anti” flavored vodkas but I’ve changed my mind. Cocktails are fun and it’s about the flavor and indulgence. A tiny bit of artificial flavor once in a while won’t kill you.

This is sweet, sour, harvest-y, and fun.

Ingredients – Yields 2 Cocktails

4 ounces apple cider

4 ounces Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie Flavored Vodka (BevMo has it!)

juice of one lemon

1 tablespoon salted caramel

Method

1. In a large jigger combine the apple cider, vodka and lemon juice and shake vigorously with ice. Set aside.

2. Drizzle salted caramel into martini glasses. It can be messy. If you have minimal motor skills put some in a plastic sandwich bag and snip the corner to drizzle a steady stream.

If you’re having a party, do this in advance and store the glasses in a cool place, like the fridge, to ensure your salted caramel doesn’t get too runny.

3. Shake the jigger again for a few seconds and split the beverage between the two martini glasses.

The salted caramel looks like a spider web. Spooooooky!
