TIME Magazine must be following my 2018 reporting for The Epoch Times. In their September 2 cover story, they selected The National Comedy Center as “one of only 100 new and noteworthy destinations to experience right now.”
It’s no secret: Medically trying times kicked my ass, pulling me from the stuff I loved. It lead to mental battles I wasn’t quite prepared to fight. Cracking jokes and making light of heavy situations sounds like pulling on armor – defense – but for me it was the first step in vocalizing my ordeal, so I choose to view those initial neurological rib-ticklers as launching my first offensive. Been winning the small battles ever since, but the war isn’t over.
I laughed for seven hours straight at the National Comedy Center: Where else does one do that? Agreed, this is one of the World’s Greatest Places.
